Why settle Tuition Fees within the School Year?
There is a DepEd system called the Learner Information System (LIS), wherein unpaid balances reflect on each student's profile in any public or private school.
Suppose a student has a remaining balance in a school, aside from being barred from attending classes, graduation, and exams; they cannot get Kinder 2, Grade 6, Grade 12, or College transcripts of records needed for a learner to progress academically.
SMIS encourages parents to settle their fees on time to avoid being burdened by unpaid previous school years' fees because all parents cannot escape their obligation to pay their children's private school fees.
