The parents play a crucial role in the teaching-learning process, especially in Distance Education. The following are some of the things the parents or guardians may facilitate to attain learning goals.
1. Choose a conducive place for learning.
Set up a space at home conducive to school-focused activities: comfortable, well-ventilated, good lighting, free from distractions, and a good internet connection.
2. Have an adult who can monitor online learning.
Having an adult who can monitor online learning and activities is highly recommended for very young learners.
3. Help establish routines.
Help establish routines and familiarize your child’s class schedule and activities. Very young learners may need you to help them wake up and get them ready for school on time.
4. Spend regular time talking about class activities with your child
The following conversation starters may be helpful in checking on your child.
BEFORE CLASSES:
What’s special about school today?
Are you ready for today’s activities?
How may I be of help?
Are your assignments ready?
AFTER CLASSES:
What new thing did you learn and/or discover today?
How do you feel about it? What was easy? What was hard? What was exciting?
What are your assignments?
What could we do together to make things better for tomorrow?
Checking on your child allows him/her to process learning experiences, to help him/her organize tasks, and to guide him/her in setting priorities.

5. Help your child direct and ‘own’ the learning.
The teachers provide your child with activities and structured learning experiences to attain essential competencies while at the same time developing essential life skills and virtues such as independence, good judgment, and grit.
While parents' support is highly encouraged, the school also believes that parents should allow the child to experience the difficulties and the struggles to overcome challenges in learning - a process that sharpens the mind and strengthens the spirit. Help your child but do not do everything for him/her.

6. Support your child.
Adults have a crucial role. You must provide support as your child/ren learns independently at home.
Some of these are

4. monitoring progress daily or weekly;
5. encouraging child/ren to ask teachers if they do not understand their assignments and collaborate for any pair works or tasks.
Some of these are
- providing a learning space that has the following:

- log-in details and password;
- mini whiteboard with writing guide lines, markers, erasers;
- notebook for each subject;
- writing (all levels)
